It is very undeniable that Remy Ma’s comeback has been very strong & it all started with the single “All The Way Up” with Fat Joe. After the tracks success she delivered her solo tracks “Wake Me Up” with help from Lil’ Kim. While the momentum kept going she served it’s follow-up “Melanin Magic” featuring Chris Brown that was released back in January. Sadly, even though the song is a very solid record it looks to be performing badly on the charts.
“Melanin Magic” is a song that proudly celebrates the beautiful skin of black women all over the world. For some reason the song isn’t being purchased enough to hold a place on the iTunes charts. Unfortunately the song can not be found anywhere in the iTunes Top 100 & in fact is being outshined by singles that have been released in previous years.
Hopefully with the performance of the song being underwhelming this will not set the tone for Remy’s long await album Seven Winters, Six Summers once it is released.
