Nearly a week after the unfroatnare passing of Mac Miller due to an alleged overdose another music artist has spoken out about being addicted to a popular substance. Rapper Bow Wow has come forward to reveal that he was once addicted to lean. Lean has been around for a long time & became very popular among many male rappers in the industry.
The 31 year old rap star took to Twitter with a slew of tweets revealing his previous addiction to lean. It aimed his message to the younger generation holding saying, “To the youth- Stop with these dumb ass drugs.”
For the people who are unfamiliar with lean, it originated in Houston, Texas & was very popular in the 1990’s within the hip-hop community. It’s often referred to as purple drank & is a concoction of prescription strength cough syrup that has been used in an inconsistent manner than it is intended to be.
