Last week Nicki Minaj hopped on twitter to let fans know that the new Queen album maybe delayed due to her trying to get clearance for a track. She said that she was unaware that one of the songs sampled a record by artist Tracy Chapman & also features of the greatest rappers of all time. Originally the album was schedule for a June 15th release & then was pushed back to August 10th.
More details below.
Due to Minaj not getting the needed clearance she has decided to push the album back again to wait for the official approval clearance on the song & now it looks that project will arrive on August 17th. Ahead of it's debut Nicki revealed today that she will be kicking off a new radio show on Apple Music's Beats 1 called Queen Radio.
The debut airing will see the rapper host a Q&A where the Barbz will submit questions using the #QueenRadio hashtag. They will also have the opportunity to win prizes like tour tickets, singed copies of the album, & plane tickets to attend the album listening party. It will all take place tomorrow, August 9th at 7pm PDT.
#QueenRadio begins tomorrow @applemusic! The new dynasty begins on @beats1official tomorrow at 7pm PT/10pm ET. AND I might have something special for you too! 😘👑🤭. Use the hashtag #QueenRadio on Twitter between now & tomorrow night. I’ll be conducting a live Q&A portion of my very first show.
