CARDI B BREAKS TAYLOR SWIFT'S APPLE MUSIC RECORD W/ OVER 100 MILLION STREAMS

Cardi B is out here breaking records & making a strong name for herself in the industry. Last Friday she released the debut album Invasion Of Privacy that featured the singles "Bodak Yellow", Be Careful" & "Drip". Just hours of it's release the project went gold making it shoot up the music charts as the world chanted Cardi's name.

More details below.

Invasion Of Privacy gained more than 100 million streams on Apple Music & set a brand new record for first week streams for a female music artist. Pop/Country singer Taylor Swift originally held the title for a long time, but now it is owned by the Bronx native. Apple Music spoke with The Verge saying that Invasion Of Privacy doubled the previous streaming record held by Swift's album Reputation by the middle of the release week. Cardi's stunning album is now the fifth most streamed album on Apple Music.

Usually an artists debut album doesn't break streaming records especially when it comes to outbeating Taylor Swift, but Hurricane Cardi has proven that to be wrong. Currently the album is holding the #5 spot on the music streaming service & could quite possibly gain the #1 spot come next week. If so, she will become yet another female rapper to gain the top spot on the Billboard 200 & join Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill, Foxy Brown, & Eve.
