20 long years have passed since songstress Aaliyah passed away leaving her legacy of music & a budding acting career behind. Their is no denying that the impact she left is still seen in the music industry to this very day. ABC News has announced a special 20/20 segment that will broadcast a hour long special titled 'Superstar: Aaliyah'.

The 20/20 special will go down the dark path of the R.Kelly marriage scandal, her smooth transition from singer to movie star & the fateful day of August 22, 2001 when she was shockingly taken from this world. The tv network has released a trailer for the special the features interviews with her uncle Barry Hankerson, Seven Street, Will.I. Am, Justine Skye & Damon Dash who she was dating at the time.
