The world grew to love Tracee Ellis Ross when she played the role of Joan Carol Clayton on the popular hit tv show Girlfriends. While she has moved onto new shows like Black-Ish she is so much more than an actress. She has made her debut into the world of music as she has released her first song called “Love Myself”.

Take a listen below.

The 47 year old has taken a page out of the musical book of her mother Diana Ross as she steps into the booth to record such an amazing song of self love. The song is on the soundtrack to the movie The High Note where she plays the character Grace Davis alongside Ice Cube who plays Jack Robertson. The film will be released May 29th as it’ll premiere in homes all over the world.
