In the lengthy Instagram caption she spoke on the anniversary along with shedding light on her impact during the early years of her career. Minaj even named some of the new female rappers who have taken the time to reference the femcee's who has come before them & who have inspired them to do what they do as artists in the hip-hop lane.
Allegedly she threw some shade as Cardi B who has been accused of using payola & for not writing he own raps.
"I never had a crusade by radio stations, influencers & blogs to make my song number 1 when Anaconda was #2 on the Hot 100 / I never had a group of men in the studio writing my songs for me so it took a while between albums."
In the comments section of a post by the shade room some followers tried to call Nicki out saying that she should also name Kim as someone who influenced her. Nicki then replied back to what was being said.
Many times over the past years non fans of Nicki Minaj has said that she hasn't paid homage to Lil' Kim for the influence she has had on her career especially during he iconic mixtape era. This information is completely untrue simply because she has referenced Kim more than a few times in her earlier raps & in interviews which can still be viewed via Youtube.
