Kehlani is showing & proving that even with being pregnant the show must go on. Two weeks after releasing the While We Wait EP the 23 year old singer unleashed the music video for “Butterfly” from the set. The visual was directed by Trey Lyons showing Kehlani emerging from a cacoon as she blossoms into a stunning butterfly.
She enlisted the help from some students & faculty members from her high school Oakland School for the Arts. Her former dance teacher Mr. Savage & the production design teacher Jean Francois Revon banded together with students to deliver choreography in three days for the music video.
“Thank you Oakland School for the Arts for cultivating such a beautiful community, and teaching me so much of what I use today in my career,” said Kehlani. “Directed by the youngest director I’ve ever worked with @treylyons, thank you for bringing my vision to life.”
