Cardi B is will be making her return sooner than many thought she would. After giving birth to baby girl Kulture & pulling out of Bruno Mars 24K Magic Tour she will be hitting the stage at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.

MTV made the exciting announcement today on twitter that Bardi will indeed be opening the tar studded awards show. The show will be held on Monday August 20th at Radio City Music Hall. Cardi leads nomination alongside DJ Khaled, & The Carters. Also set to perform is Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Travis Scott, & Jennifer Lopez will be receiving the Video Vanguard Award.

After news engulfed social media on her upcoming presence at the upcoming awards show Cardi had to clear the air. She took to her Instagram stories to let fans know that she will only be opening the show & not be actually performing.
