Fans were sent into a frenzy when Destiny's Child reunited at this years Coachella festival. Months before it was just a mere rumor & fans hoped that they would be able to see Beyoncé, Kelly, & Michelle share the stage once again. Could the history making singing group be planning yet another reunion?
More details below.
Back in 2000 DC released the song "Independent Women" that was a big hit for the Charlie's Angel movie that starred Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, & Lucy Liu. The song housed by Columbia Records helped the movie to generate more than $264.1 million at the box office.
Fast forward to 18 years later & it looks like they could be called upon to create another hit for a follow-up film. A source that has connections to the studio housing the movie spoke with The Metro to reveal some exciting details on what is to possibly come.
"Sony Pictures credits the group's smash hit, Independent Women, for much of the last movie's success and is actively courting the group to record another song for the forthcoming reboot.
The group is open to a reunion but the delay has been caused by the fact that they would like complete ownership of their name and music as both are still owned by Beyoncés father Mathew Knowles, if they can come to an agreement that works for everyone the group will then begin talks with Sony about the soundtrack. They're especially excited by the movie because Lupita Nyong'O is in talks to star as one of the Angels."
