Last year marked the 16th anniversary of the unfortunate death of the beautiful Aaliyah who passed away in a plane crash back in 2001. Over the years fans have kept her memory alive through her music & the art she created & two year ago they took it to the next level. Fans banded together & created a petition on change.org to get the attention of the beauty brand MAC Cosmetics in hopes to get a collection of makeup inspired by Aaliyah.

After creating a huge buzz with the petition online that received more than 26 thousand signatures fans of Baby Girl finally got MAC to notice all of their efforts & it was announced that they would indeed be putting together a collection for the late singer. While Aaliyah was alive she did a interview with Sisters In Style magazine where she said that she definitely used makeup products by MAC. It was originally announced by the beauty giant that the special collection would be released sometime in Summer 2018, but after patiently waiting fans finally have an exact launch date.
MAC unveiled the exciting news that the Aaliyah For MAC collection will be released online on Friday, June 20th & will be available in actual stores for purchase the very next day on June 21st. As of now no information has been released on what products the collection will consist of, but most important is that they all embody the beauty & angelic essence of who Aaliyah was & will forever be.
