Over the years the world has lost many great music artists who have helped to shape the world of music on many levels. Sadly, news has come today that we have lost rapper Craig Mack who was 46 years old & became famous for the 1990’s hit “Flava In Ya Ear”.
The Long Island native was living in South Carolina at the time of his death & passed away due to natural causes. While living in the South he joined a church & engulfed himself in his religion. A former producer that Mack worked with in the past named Alvin Toney spoke with publication The Daily News stating that he saw Mack for the last time last week while he was filming a documentary about his new life.
In the early 90’s Mack was one of the very first artists that Diddy worked with to launch Bad Boy Records along with The Notorious B.I.G. He was discovered when he freestyled over a Mary J. Blige record. His hit “Flava In Ya Ear” became so popular that he was nominated for a Grammy, but lost to New Jersey mc Queen Latifah.
