During this past weekend Empire breakout star Jussie Smollett finally gave the world ol his debut single “Freedom”. Continuing the momentum he unveils the music video the he co-directed alongside industry veteran Frank Gatson.
For the visual, Smollett taps actresses Cynthia Erivo & The Have & Have Nots beauty Tika Sumpter. The video tells the story of a couple who show their enjoyment of their loving relationship. He recently spoke with Complex about the record saying,
“This video is about love. I wanted to show two people doing the everyday things that every single couple does. I see nothing but beauty through the eyes of these characters we’ve created. I hope everyone else does as well. Love is freedom. Freedom is love. Enjoy!”
