After nine years of being married sadly Tamar Braxton & Vince Herbert are headed for divorce. On Tuesday Tamar filed for divorce from her manager/husband just a month before their 10 year anniversary. Many felt like something was going on behind the scenes when she announced that her latest album Blue Bird of Happiness would be her final album. She explained that she wanted to put more focus on her marriage, but we all still felt more was going on.
About a week ago reports hit the internet that the couples home in Calabasas, California was up for sale for $15 million. There is also been rumors that they have gotten more than one notice of default on the beautiful mansion. According to reports they have been having money issues & Vince recently had to cough up $3.7 million to Sony after they settled a suit from an advance they gave him.
As documented on their reality show Tamar & Vince they’ve had arguments & disagreements as most couples do. Last year was a low point for them when the police were called the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta as they were responding to a domestic violence call. Just earlier this month Tamar spoke about marriage saying, “marriage is great, but it’s hard as hell. Everyday is something new. I’m not gonna sit up here & act like everything is peaches & cream everyday because it’s definitely not. But music is what we bump heads on the most. I’m a real creative person & I’m really passionate.”
The couple share a four year old son named Logan & at one point they thought about having another child together. A rep for Tamar gave some information to People magazine regarding the filing of the divorce:
“At this time we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert. Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important. We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers.”
The new season of Tamar & Vince is scheduled to air on WeTv on November 9th at 9pm. Maybe the show will deliver additional details on what is going on between them.
