BET ANNOUNCES PRINCE TRIBUTE PERFORMERS

It was very hard to miss the shade that was thrown at the Billboard Music Awards Prince Tribute that was done by Madonna and Stevie Wonder from BET. The whole tribute within itself caused controversy that I am sure none of the parties involved was ready for. BET clearly was not here for the tribute and they look like they have plans to do it bigger and better.

The networked decided to announce the performers today, which also happen to be Prince's birthday (he would have been 58 years old) and the list is said to still be growing. So far, the list of performers for the tribute will be Sheila E., The Roots, D'Angelo, and Janelle Monae. They will pay tribute to the late "Purple Rain" singer with various musical performances that I'm sure will not disappoint.

So apparently BET took on Madonna's invitation for anyone who wanted to do a tribute for Prince after receiving much backlash from the performance. This is definitely guaranteed to be a magical moment and I can't wait to see who else is going to join the performance.

Will you be watching the awards on Sunday, June 26th?!
