It looks like rapper Jeezy & Jeannie Mai are calling it quits after 2 years of marriage. The Atlanta rapper filed for divorce from his wife on Thursday in a Fulton County Superior Court.
Jeezy whose real name is Jay Jenkins is already separated from Mai & is seeking joint custody of their daughter who was born earlier last year. The couple had a prenuptial agreement in place so the divorce process may go smoothly.
Jeezy & Mai got married back in 2021 during the pandemic at their home in Atlanta. They met while Jeannie was a host on the daytime talk show The Real when Jeezy was a guest on the show.
Back in 2021 Jeannie spoke with Vanity Fair saying,
“Years later, he asked me out on a date. We shared a romantic sushi dinner in Los Angeles & salsa danced the night away. Later that evening, he asked if I could picture spending the rest of my life with him. And crazy enough, I could.”
