WATCH: NICKI MINAJ PUSHES BACK 'QUEEN' TO AUGUST & ANNOUNCES TUITION SCHOLARSHIP INFO & ALBUM DETAILS


A few week ago at The Met Gala rapper Nicki Minaj announced that her new album was titled Queen & it would be released on June 15th. The info sent the Barbz into a frenzy & the countdown officially began. Today Minaj went live on instagram to chat with her fans & to deliver some surprises & new information regarding the album.

While on live Nicki announced that she had to cancel her performance on The Ellen Show because she wasn't feeling well & needed to take sometime to properly rest. She announced that originally the album was scheduled to be released on June 15th, but now she has decided to deliver it on August 10th. In that time she will be releasing a second single & that between June 11-15 she will be revealing three surprises that will include the unveiling the album cover on the 11th that was shot by Martin Marcus.

She said that on Ellen she planed to announced that she would be announcing that she would be giving away $25-50K in scholarship money through her charity Student of The Game. Minaj also stated that she will be releasing a documentary showing her recording the album because she knows her fans enjoy seeing the type of footage. Nicki said that the tour is still happening at the end of June & is still rehearsing for that. Nicki has a new collaboration with YG, 2 Chainz, & Big Sean that will be released at midnight called "Big Bank".
