TIME'S UP MOVEMENT LAUCNHES 'MUTE R. KELLY' CAMPAIGN

For well over a decade R. Kelly has been known as one of music's biggest pioneer's who has delivered music that many of us love & will forever enjoy. In that same time he has been accused of having sexual relations with underage girls & it was also rumored that he illegally married the late Aaliyah without the consent of her parents. Within the past months more women have come forward to accuse him of having some form of a sex cult where he would train girls to be his personal play toys. Now, it seems as many people have grown sick & tired & are trying to put a stop to his devilish ways.

More details below.

The Women of Color division of the Time's Up movement have delivered a pledge for the online campaign called #MuteRKelly. Their sole mission is to grab the attention of Kelly's record label , ticket sellers, concert promoters, & streaming services so they can all cut their ties with him because of the improper sexual allegations.

R. Kelly's managment has heard about the movement & released a statement to Variety magazine stating:

“Kelly supports the pro-women goals of the Time’s Up movement.  We understand criticizing a famous artist is a good way to draw attention to those goals—and in this case, it is unjust and off-target.
“We fully support the rights of women to be empowered to make their own choices.  Time’s Up has neglected to speak with any of the women who welcome R. Kelly's support, and it has rushed to judgment without the facts.  Soon it will become clear Mr. Kelly is the target of a greedy, conscious and malicious conspiracy to demean him, his family and the women with whom he spends his time.

“Kelly’s music is a part of American and African-American culture that should never—and will never—be silenced.   Since America was born, black men and women have been lynched for having sex or for being accused of it.  We will vigorously resist this attempted public lynching of a black man who has made extraordinary contributions to our culture.” –Thanks for listening. R. Kelly management.”

kelly has also responded to him being dropped from the Love Jam concert that is supposed to take place in his hometown of Chicago on May 5th.

“I never heard of a show being cancelled because of rumours, but I guess there’s a first time for everything.” More than 1,300 students and staff at the university signed a petition demanding that the singer be prevented from performing at the college."
