Songstress Pink is currently on the fast track promoting the new Beautiful Trauma album in all of it’s glory, but she reveals some new details about a past experience with a legend.
During a new interview with the Morning Mashup, she revealed an encounter with r&b/hip-hop singer Mary J. Blige where she had high hopes of collaborating with her one day. Pink was taken a back when Mary said she wasn’t interested.
“I went in her trailer a long time ago, I think it was when I hosted the Lady of Soul Train, or Soul Train Awards. I walked into her trailer and I was like, ‘Hi! Would you ever work with me?’ She just took one look at me and she goes, ‘No.’ I go, ‘Okay. I love you, Mary. I’ll see you again.’”
Given the fact that this was so long ago maybe Mary’s decision could possibly have changed. In the last Blige has worked with artists like Pink so it would be surprising if her decision will remain the same after so long.
