The 2001 unfortunate death of singer/actress Aaliyah had a tremendously huge effect on singer/songwriter Alicia Keys to the point that it inspired one of her biggest hit songs. In a exclusive segment for Billboard she revealed that her song "If I Ain't Got You" was written after the r&b stars death.

"If I Ain't Got You" spent six week at #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart when it was released back in 2004. Keys says that it's one of her "favorite songs ever" & she recounts her exact feelings of how she felt when she found out that Aaliyah had passed away.
