On March 31, 2015 it will mark the 20th anniversary since the death of Tejano music artist Selena Quintanilla-Perez. She rose to fame in the late 80's & her legacy has gone onto become a huge staple in the Mexican community all over the world & her music still lives on within the new generation who are beginning to experience who she was as a artist & person.
In 1997 Jennifer Lopez was casted to play the role of Selena in the self-titled biopic that launched her career as a actress & it even inspired her to pursue becoming a singer. During the short years of her career Selena accomplished a lot & was rewarded with various award including a Grammy, she has been compared to the likes of the legend Elvis Presley.
