JENNIFER LOPEZ OUTBIDS P. DIDDY IN WAR OVER FUSE NETWORK


Jennifer Lopez has come along way since her days as a fly girl on the comedy show In Living Color. She has become a chart-topping music artist who has always remained true to her Latina culture & her music. In an effort to continue to build her empire along with her bank account Lopez has gone up against her former boyfriend mogul/rapper P. Diddy & has outbid him in acquiring the Fuse network.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the cable channel NUVO tv has come to a agreement to acquire Fuse network from Madison Square Garden Company for $226 million. Jennifer will be the chief creator of NUVO tv. 

“Music is my first love so the acquisition of Fuse is near and dear to my heart,” J.Lo said in a statement. “It’s exciting that between NUVOtv and Fuse we’ll have the ability to deliver a broad array of terrific content both from a Latino perspective and across multiple genres, including music, to a broader audience. The acquisition of Fuse means we now own two wonderful assets. It’s a phenomenal time for our company and we look forward to growing both networks in the years ahead.”

Before the deal was finalized Diddy & billionaire Ron Burkle put in a $200 million offer, but Jennifer put in a higher bid for the company. Lopez' manager Benny Medina spoke on the subject saying that originally their was no plans initially to change the networks music format. 

“We do look at these channels as two different companies with two different identities, audiences and goals,” said Medina. “And these shall remain intact.”

The deal is expected to be finalized between the 1st of July & September 1st.
