Brandy has helped to kick off a brand new season of BET's The Game as she plays the feisty character Chardonnay who is married to the character Jason Pitts. While she has gained so much success with the job she is continuing to spread her wings as a actress, the singer will now be joining the cast of Tv Land's The Soul Man alongside comedian/actor Cedric The Entertainer. Norwood will be playing the role of a background dancer which should not be much of a challenger since she has shown that she has some smooth dance moves that have been shown during the promotion of her latest album Two Eleven.

I can exclusively reveal that the singer-actress has been cast in the TV Land show’s live episode airing on Wednesday, March 26. The episode centers on Boyce (Cedric “The Entertainer”) headlining his first annual church fundraiser for the summer youth program. He tries to reunite his old band for the event. Brandy will play Rita, one of his former backup dancers, who is desperately trying to hide a big secret. Also causing some trouble are Lolli (Neicy Nash) and Boyce’s feelings about Stamps (Wesley Jonathan) and Kim’s (Keellee Stewart) possible plans to move in together. The live episode also marks the comedy’s season three premiere.
