Over the past years the LGBT community has struggled to be excepted & respected & acknowledged as human beings in this world. Many teens have taken their own lives because of the hatred that endured on a daily basis through of their walk through life, even with the lows that we have had to experience in our fight we have so far seen a lot of positive progression in the fight for our rights. Just last week it was announced that their would be marriage equality for us making it known to many that we deserved the same rights as everyone else in the world. This past weekend individuals of the LGBT community celebrated our progress at the Gay Pride festivities that were held in New York City & while their was laughter & smiles during the days it's the things that took place during the nights that changed a few people lives in a matter of seconds.

It truly saddens me that people can't keep their unwanted opinions to themselves. It's understandable not to agree with how a person lives their life but to verbally & physically attack someone is totally unacceptable & makes a person look like a immature coward. To shout disrespectful & nasty slurs at someone just because a person is comfortable in their own skin shows a sign of weakness & total hate for no reason whatsoever. Many people have lost their lives because of thoughtless acts such as this one & I am completely angered by it, but regardless of what people may think, like, or agree with WE are here & we are making history so that the individuals that are brought into this world after us will walk with their heads held high.
