For many years as a solo artist Kelly Rowland have been very underrated & not taken seriously by people in the music industry & by the buyers of music, but now she is finally getting well deserved recognition.The very popular Essence magazine will be honoring at their 3rd Annual Black Women In Music event on February 8th as well as Sylvia Rhone who is a music executive.

The editor-in-chief of the magazine Constance C.R. White spoke on exactly why they chose to honor Rowland at the special event & said:
