SWV MEMBER FURIOUS OVER NOT BEING INCLUDED IN HIP-HOP HONORS

Last night the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors aired & many antandees & viewers were very pleased with outcome of the show as they showcased many of popular & successful faces of the 90's music era. While many are happy with the events outcome one person I particular is not pleased at all. Singer Lelee Lyons of the r&b girl group SWV expressed her frustration on social media for not being included in the show.

Find out more after the cut.

VH1 enlisted acts like Missy Elliott, Trina, Lil' Kim, & Xscape to name a few to take viewers on a trip down memory lane into an era of music that definitely can not be duplicated. The big question why wasn't SWV included in the celebration?

For many of you who may not know, SWV was one of the singing groups who helped to set the tone of music in the 1990's. They were able to intertwine the sound of r&b/hip hop into one & delivered classic music that still can be spinned on the airwaves. I believe it was very disrespectful that VH1 did not include the ladies & shows that the current state of the music industry is about popularity & not respect of the artists who paved the way for the future of music.
