It has been announced that Beyoncé's monumental music offering Lemonade is now a winner of a Peabody award. The visual project that was released last year in April quickly rose to the top of the charts & gained the strong liking of fans all over the world.

More details after the jump.

Lemonade joins seven other honorees in the catagory of Entertainment including Happy Valley, Atlanta, Better Things, Horace and Pete, Veep, & National Treasure. Organizers of the event had this to say about Mrs. Knowles-Carter:

"Lemonade draws from the prolific literary, musical, cinematic, & aesthetic sensibilities of black cultural producers to create a rich tapestry of poetic innovation. The audacity of it's reach & fierceness of it's vision challenges our cultural imagination, while crafting a stunning & sublime masterpiece about the lives of women of color & the bonds of friendship seldom seen or heard in American pop culture."
