More details after the jump.

Lemonade joins seven other honorees in the catagory of Entertainment including Happy Valley, Atlanta, Better Things, Horace and Pete, Veep, & National Treasure. Organizers of the event had this to say about Mrs. Knowles-Carter:

"Lemonade draws from the prolific literary, musical, cinematic, & aesthetic sensibilities of black cultural producers to create a rich tapestry of poetic innovation. The audacity of it's reach & fierceness of it's vision challenges our cultural imagination, while crafting a stunning & sublime masterpiece about the lives of women of color & the bonds of friendship seldom seen or heard in American pop culture."
