MARIAH CAREY TO BE DROPPED FROM RECORD LABEL.....?

Back in 2015 Mariah Carey's took off on a high note when she signed a new recording deal with Epic Records & she re-teamed up with LA Reid. With the recent unveiling of the single "I Don't" it looks like things simply aren't going for the singer.

Today comes news that she could possibly be getting dropped from her label & LA Reid will be the one to lay down the axe.

More details after the jump.

According to reports by Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411 the singers label isn't happy with her at the moment.

"Yesterday — Monday– I caught word that Epic Records is very unhappy with Mariah. That recent single, called “I Don’t,” was a total failure. It was also a total surprise to Epic. They were sent the track all completed, with no forewarning from Carey’s camp that it was coming, I am told. They hadn’t heard it. “We were just told to put it out,” says a source. So they did. And it flopped. Now my sources say Epic chief L.A. Reid is considering dropping Mariah from the label. In the time since she signed with him, Carey has had two singles– “I Don’t” and “Infinity.” They were not sellers, and didn’t get played on radio. There is no work being done toward an album, and no conversations are taking place between Epic and Carey’s team."

It's no secret that Mariah's career has been a very uncertain rollercoaster for many years now. She doesn't not chart like she use to & I believe that is because the quality of her music isn't what it once was. In all honestly, many artists get to a certain point in their career where they feel like they no longer have to try & that just isn't true. Countless times over the last decade she has released music that does not showcase they true artist that she is & she experiments with music styles that just is far away from who MC is known to be.
