VIDEO: SEVYN STREETER RETURNS TO PHILLY & SINGS NATIONAL ANTHEM IN 'WE MATTER' JERSEY

Back in late October singer Sevyn Streeter was scheduled to sing The National Anthem at the 76ers game in Philadelphia. Moments before showtime she was asked not to perform simply because she was wearing a jersey that had the words "We Matter" on it. She wore the jersey to represent a lot of the injustice that has happened for a longtime towards the African American people. The "Before I Do" singer was very upset & voiced her disappointment with a social media video that can be seen HERE

A little over a month later she has returned to the City of Brotherly to perform for another game. After the organization received tons of backlash they invited her to return & perform at any game of her choosing & that's exactly what she did.

Find out what she had to say below.

It's truly wonderful that Sevyn chose to take the organization up on the offer & perform. It's even more amazing that she decided to wear that same jersey & she was fearless in doing it. Hopefully more people will be inspired by her strong action & stand up for what they believe in.
