The new year hasn't even arrived yet & the line-up for the 2017 Essence Festival has been announced. Next year will be the festivals 23rd anniversary & as usual will take place in New Orleans & to celebrate many high profile artists will be taking center stage.

It was officially announced that Solange, John Legend, India Arie, Mary J. Blige, Jazmine Sullivan, Diana Ross, Tweet & Chaka Khan will also be performing. To add the the anticipation of the big show June's Diary from BET's hit show Chasing Destiny will also be among the list of performers. In the coming months additional acts will be announced.
The festival will surely be used as a promotional platform for those artists who have new album out & who will be releasing new projects in the new year. Fans will have the pleasure of seeing Solange deliver live performances of songs from the very popular album A Seat At The Table that has create social media popularity since the release. As for John Legend his recently unveiled studio album Darkness and Light will be bright to life as he brings his soothing voice to the stage.
The festival will take place during Independence Day weekend & it'll all begin on June 30, 2017 & end on July 3, 2017.
