SNOOP DOGG HOOPS FOR CHARITY

By now, everybody is aware of the Flint Water Crisis by some way or another, and though the news hype has seemed to die down, the charity is still coming in. There have been multiple celebrities that have donated money and water to the cause, as well as other charity events that have taken place to help with the crisis. To add to the events, Snoop Dogg has teamed up with former Toronto Raptors player (and Flint native), Morris Peterson for "Hoop for Water" which is charity basketball game that will take place in the city.

The basketball game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 21,2016 at 2 p.m. in the Dort Federal Event Center. The doors will open at 1 p.m. and ticket prices will be ranging from $10-$150. There is said to be special A-list surprise guests that you just have to be in the building to see! The game will be live streamed on Peterson's World Artist Refuge website and the proceeds will go to the Morris Peterson Jr. Foundation for water relief efforts.

During an interview with Michigan Live, Peterson states, "we want to make people feel good and continue to bring awareness to the Flint water crisis. I don't want it to be swept under the rug and this is one of my ways of giving back just to bring people together and forgetting about everything for a few hours." This is a great thing for Flint, they deserve all the help they are getting plus more!!
