2016 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS RECAP

If you weren't able to catch the BBMA's last night and a your looking for a quick overview of what took place, don't worry, I got you! Hosted by Ciara and Ludacris, the show opened with Britney Spears (It's Britney Bish!!) and lets just say that she came to SERVE. Showing that she still had it with old school Britney body and dance moves, she performed hits like "Toxic" and  "Hit Me Baby One More Time". That was definitely a great way to kick the show off. Her performance was followed by a number of great acts including Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, Demi Lovato, Justin Beiber, and Pink. There was also duet with couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton that had everybody dreamy eyed (I love them together).

Let's talk winners of the night, starting off with The Weekend who was nominated for 19 BBMA's and took home eight of them, including 'Top R&B Artist' and 'Top R&B Song' for "The Hills". Justin Beiber took home the award for 'Top Male Artist' while Adele took home the biggest award of the night, 'Top Artist'. Adele was not there to accept the award in person, but she was able to send a thank you video. Fetty Wap walked away with the 'Top New Artist' award, which is definitely well deserved. In an ironic winning, Drake got the award for 'Top Rap Artist', while Meek Mill received the 'Top Rap Album' award.

There were many winners last night that I didn't mention, however, I cannot leave without mentioning the hosts of the show, Ludacris and Ciara. They switched up their looks all night and kept it sexy and classy (if that can be a mix). Ciara showed off those bomb legs all night, while Luda kept it grown and sexy with his various suits. Also, the show wouldn't have been a show without a Prince tribute, and Quest Love was there to introduce the performance. Madonna and Stevie Wonder closed the awards out with their tribute to Prince and though I wished there were more Prince songs, it was the thought that counted most.

Congrats are in order for all of the winners and performers. Check out pics below
