JERMAINE DUPRI BLASTS CIARA FOR RIPPING OFF USHER'S "U GOT IT BAD" FOR NEW SINGLE "I BET"

Famed producer Jermaine Dupri is calling out Ciara for allegedly ripping off Usher's 2001 hit "U Got It Bad" & used some of the songs elements for her newest radio single "I Bet". Ever since the songs accompanying music video made it's debut earlier in the week it has been continuously climbing the music charts ahead of Cici's new album Jackie being released. JD has spoken with Billboard about his feeling on the song & exactly why he feels he deserves credit on the song.

Get all the details below.

Dupri tells Billboard:

"Ciara's new single is a complete rip-off of Usher's "U Got It Bad", Dupri said. I'm clear on what I made and I'm clear on how music influences people and I'm clear on chord changes and how people move things. ...It might not be as evident as the "Blurred Lines" situation, but I believe the same thing happened to me."

Dupri goes on to give his opinion on Pharrell Williams, Robin Thicke, Sony vs. Marvin Gaye's family & the "Blurred Lines" situation:

"I was shocked, honestly. Because it seems more like a sound and a feel and style and a genre and an era, none of which can be copy written."

Jermaine also told Billboard that after hearing "I Bet" himself, Usher & Brian Michael-Cox who is the writer of the song noticed the similarities between both of the songs & the it also sounded like a song entitled "Still" by Tamia. JD has plans on reaching out to Ciara & her team to demand that he be given credit on her song & if it is granted he will in return receive some form of monetary payment.

Do you think Ciara & her team ripped off Usher's hit song? Take a listen to both tracks below & you be the judge.
