Missy Elliott has been iconic since the day she stepped on the scene & she continues to be one of the most respected music artists to this day. In 2022 she received her honorary doctorate, had a street named after her in her hometown of Virginia & received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now she is taking 2023 by storm & will be honored by the Grammy’s & Black Music Collective.
The superstar will be recognized by the Recording Academy as part of the 2023 Grammy festivities & will receive the Global Impact Award. Elliott will join Lil’ Wayne, Dr. Dre & Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone who will also be honored.
The ceremony will take place 2 days before the 2023 Grammy Awards at the Palladium.
