Okay, first off let me say that the beat on this song alone had me at hello! Mary J. Blige always manages to stay with the times as far as her music, while always remaining true to herself. She debuted her new track "Thick Of It", and she is opening up about her marriage, not holding anything back.
Mary talks about giving basically her all to a person and how she deserved to be treated way better than she was being treated. She always is asking "Who's gonna love you like I do?" in her songs, letting you know that her love runs pretty deep. For some reason, I feel like the best music is made when going through a break up. That is when you are at your most rawest, and vulnerable form.... which allows for some great emotion to be poured out and put into a hit song. Though it is said that Jazmine Sullivan wrote the song, it fit with Blige perfectly.
