Brandy Norwood is truly a living legend in every sense of the word, she has been in the entertainment industry for the past 20 years & her resume speaks for itself. She has had much television success beginning with the 90's sitcom Thea & the hit show Moesha that ran from 1996 to 2001. Once her music career took flight she became America's sweetheart with over 30 million albums sold.

Brandy is gracing the June/July issue of Uptown Magazine, as many already know she is currently playing the role of Roxie Hart in the Broadway adaptation of Chicago. In the issue she speaks on not considering herself being a celebrity. During the in-depth conversation Norwood talks about her love for Whitney Houston who suddenly passed away in 2012.

“I don’t view myself as a celebrity. It’s all about the intention,” Brandy says as she takes a bite of the grilled salmon salad she’s ordered for lunch. (She eats very clean, and several times a day, along with those daily workouts). “It’s not about me. I thought that it was before. But, now I know that it is about other people. Who else could it be about?”
