BEYONCE REVEALS "BOW DOWN" IS FOR HER HATERS

Earlier this year Beyonce sparked a lot of controversy over her very cocky song "Bow Down/I Been On" from it's in your fact lyrical content to it's overall queen like message many wondered what made Bey come up with a song like this. Many people began to wonder if she had decided to give up on encouraging & empowering other women, but at the time we all had no idea exactly what was going through her mind. The song was revamped & placed on her new self-titled studio album & titled "Flawless" that quickly became a fan favorite & has the Bey Hive chanting "I woke up like this". Finally she has explained in depth how the song came to life.

Find out after the jump.

Recently Mrs. Carter sat down for a chat with iTunes about her new album where she explained the details of the song including a track by track description of all the songs on her new visual album.

The reason I put out bow down is because I woke up, I went into the studio, I had a chance in my head. It was aggressive. It was angry. It wasn't the Beyoncé that wakes up every morning. It was the Beyoncé that was angry. It was the Beyoncé that felt the need to defend herself, and if the song never comes out… Okay! I said it. I listen to it after I finished, and I said "this is hot! I'ma put it out. I'm not going to sell it. I'm just going to put it out. If people like it, great. If they don't, they don't." And I won't do it every day because that's not who IM. But I feel strong. And anyone that says, "oh that is disrespectful." Just imagine the person that hates you. Imagine a person that doesn't believe in you. And look in the mirror and say "bow down bitch" and I guarantee you will feel gangsta! So listen to this song in that point of view again if you didn't like it before. *laugh*
